WIP
The Web Interoperability Pledge (WIP)

There are two forms of the pledge. One is for Webmasters:

I pledge to use only recommended HTML tags as defined by W3C.

The other is for vendors:

I pledge to support recommended HTML tags as defined by W3C, and submit all extensions to HTML to W3C before shipping them.

Which Version of HTML am I Pledging to Support?

Pledge takers currently support HTML Version 3.2. The WIP will officially sanction HTML Version 4.0 as soon as final specifications are approved.

How Do I Participate?
Webmasters and others who publish information on the Web participate by placing the WIP logo on their Web sites Vendors participate by placing the WIP logo on their packaging, their product marketing materials.

Who Should Take the Pledge?
WIP applies to all Web sites, large or small, commercial or private. If you believe in the idea of a single, global Internet based on a single standard, you should support that vision by taking the Web Interoperability Pledge and adding the WIP logo to your site. Through solidarity, show vendors you are serious about wanting them to comply with the W3C's processes and procedures for HTML and other important standards.
