Take the Pledge
There really is power in numbers. More than 35,000 of you signed the first-ever AnchorDesk Make-A-Difference petition urging Microsoft and Netscape to stop pushing incompatible standards that force you to choose sides. You captured both companies attention. As a result, they have agreed take a Web Interoperability Pledge (WIP) saying they will work within the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) standards.
On Tuesday, June 17, AnchorDesk delivered your signatures and comments to Microsoft and Netscape. As a result, the companies agreed to abide by a Web Interoperability Pledge, as documented in the article How to Make Microsoft and Netscape Stick to Their Promise of a United Web
Congratulations on successfully influencing two technology giants to do the right thing. We are currently reviewing the pledge language for possible improvements. On July 15, we will announce the final agreement and post instructions for you to "take the pledge" yourself by putting WIP logos and links on your own sites.
